Description: Pool Lifeguarding is a fun, flexible and dynamic job. It is also a point of entry for a career in the aquatics industry. The first step in becoming a Pool Lifeguard is getting qualified. The training undertaken ensures that every Lifeguard possesses the skills and knowledge to handle a wide variety of incidents that occur on a day to day basis at aquatic centres. Course Components include First Aid & Oxygen Delivery, Supervision, Risk Management, Communication, Aquatic Rescues and Emergency Rescues. The training course is conducted over two days. All candidates are required to successfully complete a range of practical assessments (within time limits) and a theory exam (which includes multiple choice, true/false and short answer questions).
