Sporting Carnivals
All students belong to a designated House and have the opportunity to participate in activities such as the Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country carnivals as well as Ryde Idol, Charity days and Intra-school activities. Ryde Secondary College has a House Program consisting of four Houses:
- Cressy - Yellow
- Buffalo - Black
- Forrest - Green
- Malvina – Red.
Students are allocated Houses based on the numbers in year 7 each year; hence the cutoff point will vary between sexes and years to ensure equal students in each House. If a new student has a sibling at Ryde Secondary College the younger student will be allocated to a House based on the breakdown. When successful in these College Carnivals, students are selected to compete in Zone, Regional and Combined High School Carnivals.
